SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald W. Grencik, who passed away on February 12, 2017, at the age of 70; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Grencik served with distinction in the United States Army from August of 1966 through August of 1970; he spent the majority of the time in Vietnam as a member of the 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Grencik was affectionately known as "Airborne Ronnie"; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald W. Grencik, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Grencik as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
