SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gary L. Baker of Moline, who passed away
4on July 31, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Baker was born in Moline to Alan J. and
6Marjorie A. (Kraklow) Baker on March 25, 1953; he served in the
7U.S. Army and married Cheryl Hughes in Coal Valley on January
821, 1977; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gary Baker worked on a farm in Toulon when he was
10first married; he worked for the railroad and built sets for
11Playcrafters Barn Theatre and Circa '21; he retired from
12Augustana College in 2013; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gary Baker enjoyed acting and participating at
14Comedy Sportz; he also enjoyed western movies, reading,
15spending time with his grandchildren, and being outdoors; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gary Baker was preceded in death by his parents
17and an infant brother; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Gary Baker is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his
19children, Jeniffer (Jason) Hammond and Franklin Baker; his
20grandchildren, Cameron Baker, Lilliana Baker, and Jacen

1Hammond; and his sisters, Pamela Baker, Melody (Frank)
2Anderson, and Dori Smith; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Gary L. Baker, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Gary Baker as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
