SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Hubert S. Brown of Rock Island, who passed away on July 20, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was born in Warren County to Ralph E. and Grace McIntyre Brown on March 7, 1922; he served overseas with the United States Army during World War II; he married Nancy E. Fausett in New Boston on November 27, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Hubert Brown worked for the Rock Island School District as a custodian at Denkmann Elementary School for 29 years; and

WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and he enjoyed watching sports; and

WHEREAS, Hubert Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his parents; his sisters, Mildred Slaby, Marjorie Lewis, Veryl Johnson, June Christian, Margaret Merkle, Bonnie Saunders, and Izora Callahan; and his brothers, Gerald, Willard, Delmar, and Dale Brown; and

WHEREAS, Hubert Brown is survived by his brothers-in-law, Jerry and Rodney Fausett; and his many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Hubert S. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Hubert Brown as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
