SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Scott V. "Scooter" Scherer of Crystal
4Lake, who passed away on January 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Scherer was born in Waukegan on August 29,
61959; he graduated from Central High School in 1977 and McHenry
7County College; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Scott Scherer worked at PCI Pharma Services in
9Woodstock until September of 2015; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Scott Scherer loved sports and played Little
11League, Babe Ruth, and high school baseball; he was thrilled
12seeing the Chicago Cubs win the World Series and was a lifelong
13Seattle Seahawks fan; he was an experienced golfer and bowler;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Scott Scherer was preceded in death by his
16grandparents; his father, William; and his sister, Kristine;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Scott Scherer is survived by his mother, Susan;
19his brother, Rob; his sister, Karen "Missi" (Bill) Disch; his
20nephews, Matthew (Melissa) McDonald, and Patrick (Sara)

1McDonald; his "Greats", Maggie and Leah McDonald, and Rory and
2Brogan McDonald; his aunt, Victoria (John) Sershon; his best
3friend and companion, Barb Hanke, and her family; therefore, be
4it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Scott V. "Scooter" Scherer, and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Scott Scherer as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
