SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William "Bill" C. Friedrichsen of
4Hillsdale, who passed away on September 18, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrichsen was born in Moline to Glen and
6Estella Verplaetse Friedrichsen on July 30, 1937; he married
7Sandy Swanson in Montebello, California on June 22, 1957; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrichsen served in the United States Army
9from 1961 until 1963; the couple them moved back to Hillsdale,
10and he worked as an electrician at Oscar Mayer Co. in Davenport
11until his retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrichsen was a longtime member of Bethel
13Baptist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the choir; he
14enjoyed watching and playing golf and gardening; his greatest
15joy was watching his grandchildren's sporting, musical, and
16theatrical events; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrichsen was preceded in death by his
18parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bill Friedrichsen is survived by his wife, Sandy;
20his children, Diana (John) Johnson and Mike (Nicky)

1Friedrichsen; his grandchildren, Johanna, Noah, Gabe, Elijah,
2and Grace; his cousin, Arllyn Haynes; his nephew, Bill Swanson;
3and his niece, Christine Frye; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6William "Bill" C. Friedrichsen and extend our sincere
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bill Friedrichsen as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
