SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John M. Scroggin of Waukegan, formerly of Antioch, who passed away on July 24, 2018; and

WHEREAS, John Scroggin was born in Highland Park to Robert and Jane (Krause) Scroggin on June 20, 1957; and

WHEREAS, John Scroggin worked as an HVAC electrical technician for Abbott Laboratories for 26 years; he was a hard worker and valued being a part of the Abbott family; and

WHEREAS, John Scroggin was a proud father and supportive husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother; and

WHEREAS, John Scroggin is survived by his wife, Jessica; his children, Michelle Hicks, Amanda Pollitt, Michael Pollitt, and Samantha Scroggin; his siblings, Robert Scroggin Jr., Dawn Wells, and Donald Scroggin; and his grandchildren, Donovan Chambers, Devon Hicks, and Michael Pollitt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John M. Scroggin and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Scroggin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
