| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Tony William "Sonny" McClure of Rapids | 4 | | City, who passed away on October 22, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tony McClure was born in Louisville, Kentucky to | 6 | | Anthony and Edna (Mileham) McClure on December 3, 1937; he was | 7 | | raised in Lincoln by his grandparents, Walter and Marie | 8 | | Mileham; he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955; he | 9 | | served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960; he | 10 | | married Myrtis L. Pratt in Springfield on September 29, 1962; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Tony McClure received a degree for Tool & Die and | 13 | | worked for John Deere Plow Planter; he then transferred to the | 14 | | Parts Distribution Center in Milan, where he worked until his | 15 | | retirement in 1996; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Tony McClure was a member of the Gold Wings Road | 17 | | Riders Association, and he rode a Gold Wing on many of his | 18 | | trips with his wife; he was an avid bowler and fisherman; he | 19 | | loved loading the family in the car and going for a drive; he | 20 | | enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and | 21 | | great-grandchildren; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Tony McClure was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | his son, Tony McClure; his sisters, Helen, Rubyann, Martty | 3 | | Lamb, Nola Sue, Rosie, and Cathy; and his great-grandson, Scott | 4 | | Dennis Meisinger; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tony McClure is survived by his wife, Myrtis; his | 6 | | children, Christine McClure, Eva McClure, and Merle "Scott" | 7 | | (Kristina) McClure; his grandchildren, David Vermast, Sarah | 8 | | McClure, Kimmy McClure, Mollie McClure, Zachary McClure, and | 9 | | Caleb Castro; and his sister, Bonnie Jo; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Tony William "Sonny" McClure and extend our sincere condolences | 13 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 14 | | it further
