SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rafael D. Castillo of Streator, who passed away on February 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Castillo was born in Juarez, Mexico to Rafael and Celia Castillo on January 7, 1954; he married Elba Carrillo in Juarez on July 24, 1974; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Castillo retired from Plymouth Tube after over 30 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Castillo was a member of St. Michael the Arch Angel Church in Streator; he was a jack of all trades, especially when it came to working on houses and cars; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Castillo was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Daniel Castillo; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Castillo is survived by his wife, Elba; his sons, Rafael Jr. and Eric (Kelli); his grandchildren, Austin and Lainie; two brothers; four sisters; and his beloved dog, Rocky; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rafael D. Castillo, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rafael Castillo as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
