SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Jean Christen Cimarossa of New Berlin, who passed away on February 20, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jean Cimarossa was born in Ashland to John E. and Mary "Maizel" Reiser Christen on December 12, 1926; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jean Cimarossa retired from St. John's Hospital after many years of service as a Cardiovascular Secretary; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jean Cimarossa was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church; she enjoyed reading and was very involved in her faith and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jean Cimarossa was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jean Cimarossa is survived by her children, John (Marilyn) Cimarossa, Jeannie (Ron) Hipsher, Jim Cimarossa (Debbie House), Jan (Michele) Cimarossa, Joe Cimarossa, and Carol Cimarossa; the father of her children, Quinto J. Cimarossa; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joan Hartman, and Carol Tavernor; her brother, Ted (Wanda) Christen; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Jean Christen Cimarossa, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Jean Cimarossa as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
