SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rita F. (Babic) Keefe of Belleville, who
4passed away on February 26, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rita Keefe was born in Granite City to Walter and
6Bernice (Mendrys) Babic on November 14, 1951; she started
7working at the age of 16, after the death of her father; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rita Keefe's greatest satisfaction was doing for
9others; she admired kindness and the truth; she believed in the
10importance of a safe, secure, and loving environment and raised
11her children in a home filled with examples of how to live a
12good life; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Rita Keefe was preceded in death by her parents;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Rita Keefe was survived
16by her husband, Thomas Q. Keefe Jr.; her children, Thomas Q.
17(Jennifer Mann) Keefe III, Courtney Keefe, Kelli (Clay)
18Spoeneman, and Matthew (Samantha Unsell) Keefe; her grandsons,
19Max Keefe and Jack Spoeneman; her sisters, Rosemary (Carl)
20Allison and Susan (Mark) Carnoali; and her many other family
21members and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Rita F. (Babic) Keefe and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Rita Keefe as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
