SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Judith "Judy" Seibt Franklin of Chicago Heights, who passed away on February 18, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Judith Franklin was born on April 25, 1938; and

WHEREAS, Judith Franklin was the former owner of His Store The Sacred Heart of Jesus in Chicago Heights; she worked at Suburban Heights Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist Apprentice for 15 years; and

WHEREAS, Judith Franklin was a member of the Third Order of Carmelites and helped create the Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Agnes; and

WHEREAS, Judith Franklin was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin, and her brothers, John Hoffman, and James Schafer; and

WHEREAS, Judith Franklin is survived by her sons, Robert W. (Cynthia), Michael A., Thomas P., and Timothy J. Seibt; her grandchildren, Michael W., Christine N., and Robert A. Seibt; her sisters-in-law, Jill Hoffman, and Helene Schafer; and 11 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Judith "Judy" Seibt Franklin, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Judith Franklin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
