SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Theodore D. Schweder of McHenry, who
4passed away on January 30, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was born in McHenry to Daniel E.
6and Aurelia M. (Breivogel) Schweder on July 24, 1935; he
7married Shirley Diedrichs at Our Lady of Grace in Chicago on
8November 24, 1956; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was a longtime employee of the
10Temple Steel Company; he opened his own steel lamination
11business, PSW Industries; he invested in many McHenry real
12estate ventures, including various retail establishments and
13apartment complexes; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder enjoyed reading, playing golf,
15and "doing lunch" with his family and friends; a recent
16highlight was celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary on
17Thanksgiving Day with his wife and all of their children,
18grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in attendance; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder helped lead many parish
20fundraisers at St. Patrick Catholic Church, including Town and
21Country and Montini Bingo; he was Cub Scout Leader of Pack 351;

2    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was preceded in death by his
3parents; his son, Teddy Schweder Jr.; and his brother, Robert
4E. Schweder; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder is survived by his wife of 60
6years, Shirley; his children, Gary (Cynthia) Schweder, Paul
7Schweder (Karin Rada), James (Brenda) Schweder, and Lori (Mike)
8Mazrin; his grandchildren, Gary (Emily) Schweder, Jake
9(Natosha) Schweder, Sarah (Kyle) Kanzler, Nicki (Rafael)
10Perez, Joshua Mazrin, Teddy Mazrin, Michael Mazrin, James
11Schweder, and Liam Schweder; his great-grandchildren, Bella,
12Maddy, and Lianna Perez, Aurelia and Maci Rose Schweder, and
13Lilyan Kanzler; his siblings, Jack (Anne) Schweder, and Gail
14(John) Powers; and his sister-in-law, Joanne (Schweder)
15Burton; therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
18Theodore D. Schweder, and extend our sincere condolences to his
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
20further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22presented to the family of Theodore Schweder as an expression
