SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Denise J. Thompson of McHenry, who passed
4away on February 3, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Denise Thompson was born in McHenry to George R.
6and Helen (Blake) Justen on August 22, 1939; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Denise Thompson worked in the accounting field for
8most of her lifetime; she was employed as an accountant at
9McGladrey & Pullen for 20 years, and then as comptroller for
10Gavel International in Lincolnshire for 11 years; she was an
11independent tax preparation professional for over 30 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Denise Thompson was an avid card player; she also
13enjoyed needlework, doing puzzles, caring for her feline
14companions, and visiting with family and friends; she was a
15member of The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Denise Thompson was preceded in death by her
17parents; her twin brother, Dennis Justen; her brother, Robert
18A. Justen; her sister-in-law, Collette Justen; and her
19brother-in-law, Don Rosing; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Denise Thompson is survived by her children,

1Jeffrie "Jeff" and Michael (Cindy) Thompson; her
2granddaughter, Erica Thompson; her grandson, Jon (Dana)
3Thompson; her great-grandsons, Finnley and Miles Thompson; her
4sisters, Doris Ann Rosing, and Carol (Jim) Weiland; and seven
5nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Denise J. Thompson, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Denise Thompson as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
