SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rose Mary Weingart of McHenry, who passed
4away on March 15, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart was born the daughter of
6William F. and Pauline B. (Happ) Selzer on August 23, 1924; she
7married the love of her life, Donald P. Weingart, at St. Thomas
8the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake on October 5, 1946;
9they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart had a lifelong interest in
11cooking, baking, sewing, and the occasional debate; she
12devotedly attended her grandchildren's many sporting events;
13she enjoyed her exercise groups, dominoes, card clubs, and
14vacations to Sayner, Wisconsin with her family and friends; her
15family was not only her priority, but her passion in life; she
16loved family gatherings that included spending time with her
17three children, seven grandchildren, and her adored
18great-grandchild; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart was preceded in death by her
20parents; her brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Norie, Richard,
21Francis, Edward, Eleanor Aufderheide, Loretta Anderson, and
22Angeline Raycraft; and her son-in-law, David S. Diedrich; and

1    WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart is survived by her husband,
2Donald; her children, Alan (Mary) Weingart, Karen Diedrich, and
3Jane (Brad) Hertel; her grandchildren, Andrew (Katelynn)
4Weingart, Nathan Weingart, Sarah (James) Frank, Todd (Caitlin)
5Diedrich, Kathleen Diedrich, Emily (Brad) Voss, and Erik
6Hertel; and her great-grandchild, Blake Diedrich; therefore,
7be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Rose Mary Weingart, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Rose Mary Weingart as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
