SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rose Mary Weingart of McHenry, who passed away on March 15, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart was born the daughter of William F. and Pauline B. (Happ) Selzer on August 23, 1924; she married the love of her life, Donald P. Weingart, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake on October 5, 1946; they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary; and

WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart had a lifelong interest in cooking, baking, sewing, and the occasional debate; she devotedly attended her grandchildren's many sporting events; she enjoyed her exercise groups, dominoes, card clubs, and vacations to Sayner, Wisconsin with her family and friends; her family was not only her priority, but her passion in life; she loved family gatherings that included spending time with her three children, seven grandchildren, and her adored great-grandchild; and

WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Norie, Richard, Francis, Edward, Eleanor Aufderheide, Loretta Anderson, and Angeline Raycraft; and her son-in-law, David S. Diedrich; and

WHEREAS, Rose Mary Weingart is survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Alan (Mary) Weingart, Karen Diedrich, and Jane (Brad) Hertel; her grandchildren, Andrew (Katelynn) Weingart, Nathan Weingart, Sarah (James) Frank, Todd (Caitlin) Diedrich, Kathleen Diedrich, Emily (Brad) Voss, and Erik Hertel; and her great-grandchild, Blake Diedrich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rose Mary Weingart, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rose Mary Weingart as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
