SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Irene (Szachter) Horn of Lincolnshire, formerly of Northbrook, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 89; and

WHEREAS, Irene Horn was a Holocaust survivor; and

WHEREAS, Irene Horn was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Horn; the loving mother of Richard (Linda) Horn and Howard Horn; the adored grandma of Jason (Nadria Tucker) Horn, Adra (Jason) Lustig, Michael (Anne-Laure Allehaut) Horn, Ashley, and Jennifer Horn; the proud great-grandmother of Sylvie; the cherished sister of Rachell (the late Israel) Eisenberg, and Goldie (Sylvan) Kalib; and the treasured aunt and friend to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Irene Horn and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Irene Horn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
