SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald L. Correll of Hebron, who passed
4away on March 8, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Correll was born in Warsaw, Indiana to
6Eugene and Doris (Denney) Correll on July 23, 1945; he
7graduated from Loyal High School in Wisconsin in 1964; he was a
8member of the Army National Guard of Wisconsin for six years
9from 1964 to 1970; he married Shirlee Menge on July 28, 2007;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Correll was employed as a semi-truck driver
12until he retired in 1984; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Correll was Commander of the Hebron
14American Legion Eugene Drill Post #606; he was an active member
15of Hebron United Methodist Church in Hebron; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Donald Correll was preceded by his mother, Doris;
17his brother, Erv; and an infant grandson, Jamie Keen; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Correll is survived by his wife, Shirlee;
19his father, Eugene (Donna) Correll; his children, James
20(Cherri), Vicki Keen, Todd, and Jeanne (Jonathan) Schaefer; his

1stepchildren, Warren (Gretchen) Howe, Janene (Kevin) Ellis,
2Ellen (Anthony) Miraldi, and Megan Menge; his sister, Cindy
3(Mark) McCann; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Donald L. Correll, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Donald Correll as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
