SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward A. Drysch of Shorewood, who passed
4away on March 26, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Drysch was born in Chicago to Sophie
6(Jonikas) and Edward W. Drysch on June 23, 1941; he graduated
7from Saint Rita High School and was married to Mary Lou (Hazer)
8Drysch for 53 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edward Drysch retired from Distilleries Company
10Limited after many years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Edward Drysch faithfully volunteered at Presence
12Saint Joseph Medical Center for over 19 years and played in a
13senior bocce ball league; he loved reading and could be found
14several days a week at the Shorewood Public Library; he lived
15on the South Side of Chicago and was a loyal fan of the Chicago
16Cubs, but he could also be found rooting for the White Sox if
17they were the leading team; he loved the movies and fishing and
18always looked forward to the annual fishing trip in Hayward,
19Wisconsin; his favorite pastime was spending time with his
20grandchildren; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Edward Drysch was preceded in death by his parents

1and grandparents; his brother, Stephen; his brother-in-law,
2James (late Beatrice) Hazer; his sister-in-law Bernadine (late
3James) Caldwell; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Edward Drysch was the beloved husband of Mary Lou;
5the loving father of Robert (Patricia) Drysch, Michael (Paula)
6Drysch, and Julie (Sean) Schubert; and the proud grandfather of
7Matthew and Ryan, and Kristen, Erin, and Britney Drysch; he was
8also the dear brother-in-law of Thomas (Dorothy) Hazer, and
9Charlene (James) Rogers; many nieces and nephews also survive;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Edward A. Drysch, and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Edward Drysch as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
