| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Timothy J. Murphy of Mount Prospect, who | 4 | | passed away on April 4, 2017 at the age of 62; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Timothy Murphy was a graduate of DePaul Law School | 6 | | and was a dedicated and dogged attorney who practiced his | 7 | | talents for over 37 years; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Timothy Murphy was born and raised on the South | 9 | | Side of Chicago; he was proud of his Chicago roots and | 10 | | enthusiastically cheered on the Chicago White Sox, the | 11 | | Blackhawks, and the Northwestern Wildcats; he believed | 12 | | strongly in helping and serving others in his community and was | 13 | | a committed member of the Mt. Prospect Lions Club; he brought | 14 | | energy and zest to every occasion and enjoyed life to the | 15 | | absolute fullest; he loved getting together with friends, going | 16 | | to countless rock concerts, and making others laugh with his | 17 | | wit and humor; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, | 18 | | son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, and loyal friend; he was | 19 | | a willing confidant, peacemaker, and sage counselor and will be | 20 | | missed by all; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Timothy Murphy is survived by his parents Robert | 22 | | and Dolores Murphy; his wife of 37 years Kathleen (Meersman); |

| 1 | | his children, Sarah (Joe) Reth, Patrick (Ryan) Murphy, Claire | 2 | | (John) Hollyoak, and Jack Murphy; his grandson, Owen Reth; and | 3 | | many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and his large | 4 | | extended family; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Timothy J. Murphy, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further | 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Timothy Murphy as an expression of | 12 | | our deepest sympathy.
