SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Pamela Jean Christian of North Chicago,
4who passed away on March 5, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was born in Waukegan to Horace
6and Rachel (Woods) Montgomery Jr. on October 3, 1949; she
7majored in nursing at Northern Michigan University and married
8Dorsey Christian Jr. in North Chicago on September 15, 1973;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was a registered nurse for 45
11years; she was formerly employed at St. Therese Medical Center
12and the VA Hospital; she retired from Advocate Condell
13Hospital; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was a member of Way Through The
15Word Ministry Church, where she was part of the women's
16ministry and the set-up committee; she enjoyed traveling,
17eating at various restaurants, baking, and spending time with
18her family, especially her grandchildren; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Pamela Christian was preceded in death by her
20parents and her brother, Horace "Corkey" Montgomery; and

1    WHEREAS, Pamela Christian is survived by her husband of 43
2years, Dorsey Christian Jr.; her son, Dorsey (Niki) Christian
3III; her grandchildren, Jaymina Handy, Acquennetta F. Abrams,
4and Dorsey Christian IV; one great-grandchild, Jonessa Foster;
5her siblings, Geetanjali Singh, Michelle (Dean) McGee, Robert
6(Chris) Montgomery, and David Montgomery; and many nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Pamela Jean Christian, and extend our sincere condolences to
11her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Pamela Christian as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
