| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Tom Deram of North Chicago, who passed | 4 | | away on April 1, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Deram was born to Frank and Mary (Treven) | 6 | | Deram on January 19, 1946; he attended Mother of God Grade | 7 | | School and North Chicago High School; he received his degree in | 8 | | Production Management Technology from the College of Lake | 9 | | County (CLC) and served in the United States Army Reserve from | 10 | | 1966 to 1972; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Tom Deram worked at OMC-Marine Engineering, | 12 | | Buehler LTD, and Toolamation Inc., from where he retired in | 13 | | 2012; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Tom Deram was a member of American Legion Post 771 | 15 | | and St. Mary 79 KSKJ; he was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and | 16 | | the Chicago Bears; he loved playing golf, especially with the | 17 | | Sunday morning guys at Foss Park and the Tuesday night league | 18 | | at Bonnie Brook; he was on many softball and basketball teams | 19 | | with the Waukegan KSKJ and coached youth baseball for 13 years | 20 | | in the Waukegan Baseball Association; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Tom Deram was preceded in death by his parents and |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Tom Deram is survived by his loving wife, Lynn | 3 | | (Wienke); his children, David (Brooke), Douglas, and Danielle | 4 | | (Keith) Barnett; seven grandchildren, Mason, Finley, Graham | 5 | | Barnett, Jonah, Miles, Avery, and Quinn Deram; his | 6 | | sister-in-law, Kathy Deram Clark; and his nephews, John, Eric, | 7 | | and Tony Deram; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Tom Deram, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 11 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further | 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Tom Deram as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy.
