| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Denton James "Red" Danielson of Port | 4 | | Byron, who passed away on April 11, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was born in Sioux Falls, South | 6 | | Dakota to E. Kenneth and Myrtle (Hansen) Danielson on March 5, | 7 | | 1946; he graduated from Riverdale High School in 1964 and | 8 | | served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam; he married | 9 | | Brigitte K. Neu in April of 1974; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was a machinist; he started | 11 | | working with Rock Island Lines, and then with the Iowa | 12 | | Interstate Railroad in Iowa City, Iowa, retiring in 2006; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Denton Danielson loved being outdoors, golfing, | 14 | | and taking care of his yard; he liked old cars and old western | 15 | | movies; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Denton Danielson was preceded in death by his | 17 | | father, Kenneth, and his brother, Marvin; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Denton Danielson is survived by his mother, | 19 | | Myrtle; his wife, Brigitte; his children, Tina (Gary) Quick, | 20 | | Tom Danielson, and Stephanie (Deric) Schradeya; his siblings, |
