| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert L. "Bob" Wendell of East Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on December 12, 2016; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Wendell was born in Moline to Dewey and | 6 | | Grace (Sheley) Wendell on December 29, 1922; he was a graduate | 7 | | of Moline High School; he served in the United States Army Air | 8 | | Corps during World War II from 1943 to 1945 in the 489th Bomber | 9 | | Squadron while stationed in Corsica; he married Vada Mae | 10 | | Reisenbigler on June 4, 1948; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Wendell was an owner/operator of B & B | 12 | | Glass Company in Moline for 40 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Wendell was a member of American Legion | 14 | | Post 246 and First Christian Church; he enjoyed gardening, | 15 | | fishing, baseball, basketball, traveling with his wife, and | 16 | | especially loved spending time with his granddaughters; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Robert Wendell was preceded in death by his | 18 | | parents; his wife; his brother, Howard; and his sisters, Doris, | 19 | | Helen, Vera, and Gert; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Wendell is survived by his daughter, |

| 1 | | Deborah K. Wendell; his sons, Jon (Maryvonne) Wendell, and | 2 | | Robert "Butch" (Nancy) Wendell; his granddaughters, Hilary, | 3 | | Kirsten, Isabella, and Illiana; and his sister, Marion Griffin; | 4 | | therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Robert L. "Bob" Wendell, and extend our sincere condolences to | 8 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further | 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Robert Wendell as an expression of | 12 | | our deepest sympathy.
