SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stacy Verne Dixon of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon attended Eastern Illinois University and married Jeffrey Dixon in 1979; and

WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon's career was spent in public relations; she worked for AT&T for 15 years, and then in 1994, she founded her own firm, Dixon and Company; three years later, her husband joined her in the business; and

WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon enjoyed socializing at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club and spending time at her family's house in Michigan City, Indiana, known as "Purple Haze"; she also enjoyed reading and was a member of the Beverly Bookinistas and the South Loop Book Club; and

WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; her daughters, Jessica Suzanne Heitman and Whitney Elizabeth Buha; her sister, Suzanne Boyle; her brother, Scott Allers; and a granddaughter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Stacy Verne Dixon, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stacy Dixon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
