SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stacy Verne Dixon of Chicago; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon attended Eastern Illinois University
5and married Jeffrey Dixon in 1979; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon's career was spent in public
7relations; she worked for AT&T for 15 years, and then in 1994,
8she founded her own firm, Dixon and Company; three years later,
9her husband joined her in the business; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon enjoyed socializing at the Beverly
11Hills Tennis Club and spending time at her family's house in
12Michigan City, Indiana, known as "Purple Haze"; she also
13enjoyed reading and was a member of the Beverly Bookinistas and
14the South Loop Book Club; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon is survived by her husband, Jeffrey;
16her daughters, Jessica Suzanne Heitman and Whitney Elizabeth
17Buha; her sister, Suzanne Boyle; her brother, Scott Allers; and
18a granddaughter; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Stacy Verne Dixon, and extend our sincere condolences to her
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Stacy Dixon as an expression of our
6deepest sympathy.
