SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lily "Lil" Visconti of Ringwood, who passed away on May 7, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to William and Edith (Hoffman) Boyd on September 5, 1949; she graduated from McHenry High School in 1967 and married Frank Visconti in McHenry on June 1, 1968; and

WHEREAS, Lily Visconti worked as a secretary at Modine and Oak Manufacturing; she was a professional cake decorator and operated L & L Pizza in Ringwood for several years; and

WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was a former member of Ringwood United Methodist Church, where she served on the church council; she was a member of the Wonder Lake Auxiliary Fire Department, volunteer at Ringwood and Johnsburg schools, volunteer with the Red Cross, and Boy Scout merit badge counselor; she enjoyed camping, cooking, shopping, jewelry, and most importantly, helping others; and

WHEREAS, Lily Visconti was preceded by her father, William Boyd, and her sisters, Carolyn Boyd, Yvonne Bounds, and Edith Hoffman; and

WHEREAS, Lily Visconti is survived by her husband, Frank; her son, Frank Visconti; her mother, Edith Harrison; and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lily "Lil" Visconti, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lily Visconti as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
