SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ceal C. Ehlenburg of Woodstock, who passed away on May 1, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Ceal Ehlenburg was born in Piqua, Kansas to Herman and Ann (Sundrop) Koester on September 20, 1928; she married Harold Ehlenburg in Woodstock on May 10, 1963; and

WHEREAS, Ceal Ehlenburg worked at the Emerson Typewriter Factory in Woodstock for over 25 years; she then went to work at the Guardian Electric Manufacturing Company; and

WHEREAS, Ceal Ehlenburg was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock; she enjoyed the simple things in life and always enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her nephew, Ron (Nancy) Porter; and

WHEREAS, Ceal Ehlenburg was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Harold; and

WHEREAS, Ceal Ehlenburg is survived by her sisters, Mary Ann Porter, Ruth Lampe, and Eleanor Platte, and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ceal C. Ehlenburg, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ceal Ehlenburg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
