SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph C. Pugliese of Vernon Hills, who passed away on May 20, 2017 at the age of 93; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pugliese served in the military during World War II and the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pugliese was preceded in death by his beloved wife, LaVerne; his children, David and Stephen; his brother, Thomas; and his sister, Mary; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Pugliese is survived by his children, Joseph (Karen), Teresa (Daniel) Hiatt, Patricia (Robert) Welch, Paula (Thomas) Sandberg, James (Lisa), Mary Hertz, Daniel (Kristin), and Michael; his grandchildren, Nicholas (Kathleen), David (Mellina), Anna (Donald), Ellen, Margaret (Thomas), Sam (Megan), Andy, Max, Alexander, Jocelyn, Nolan, Traci (Brian), Brittany (Joe), Jordan, Caitlyn (Ben), Andrew, Maureen (John), Olivia, Amanda, Daniel, Ericka, Bret, Bennett, and Jora; and his great-grandchildren, Alexis, Madeline, Oliver, Colette, Amelie, Keller, Jacob, Cormack, Joseph, Michael, and Hayes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Joseph C. Pugliese, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Pugliese as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
