SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Suzanne Marie (Heller) Ettlinger of Highland Park; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Ettlinger was born in 1924; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Ettlinger was co-founder of Dance Horizons; she was a patron of the arts and a founding member of Congregation Hakafa; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Ettlinger was a pioneer in modern dance and an inspiration to generations of dancers; she was an athlete and a passionate golfer; she carried her love of movement, family, and art throughout her entire life and will be deeply missed; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Ettlinger was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward "Ted" Ettlinger; and

WHEREAS, Suzanne Ettlinger is survived by her children, Peter (Sally) Ettlinger and Judi (Carl Gardeman) Ettlinger; her grandchildren, Katherine (Eric) Dublis, Daniel (Wazira Al Mohamadi) Ettlinger, Jacob (Lainie) Ettlinger, Lita Jackson, and Kelsey Ettlinger; and her great-grandchildren, Yusuf and Fatima; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Suzanne Marie Ettlinger, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Suzanne Ettlinger as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
