SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peter Thomas Marsalek of Antioch, who passed away on May 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek was born in Highland Park to Edward and Joyce (Wonsil) Marsalek on February 7, 1996; he attended St. Peter Grade School and graduated from Antioch Community High School; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek most recently worked as a tile setter; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his big, green truck; he was a very proud homeowner and his most recent accomplishment was his new home in Camp Lake; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek was a welcoming person and was the first friend of many; he made others comfortable in new surroundings and also brought those without a friend into his circle; he was fearless and made the most of every day, joyfully, and happily; his happy smile, friendliness, and goofiness will be missed by many; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Wonsil; and

WHEREAS, Peter Marsalek is survived by his parents; his brothers, Nicholas and Alex Marsalek; his aunts and uncles, Diann Marsalek, Carolyn Marsalek, Sherri (Patrick) Nettin, and Thomas (Amy) Wonsil; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Ann Marsalek; his maternal grandmother, Jill Wonsil; many cousins; his best friend, Trevor; and his faithful dog, Coco; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Peter Thomas Marsalek, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Marsalek as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
