SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Norma G. Green of Pawnee, who passed away on January 9, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Norma Green was born in Chesterfield to Paul E. and Laura T. Wilson Edwards on May 31, 1931; she married Darrell L. Green at her parents' home in Pawnee on December 13, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Norma Green worked in the chemical lab at Sangamon Electric in Springfield for 11 years; she enjoyed being a mom and a grandma; she was a fabulous cook and enjoyed church activities, going out to eat, and shopping with friends; everyone was always welcome at her home and she was a great friend to all; and

WHEREAS, Norma Green was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Divernon; and

WHEREAS, Norma Green was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; and her sister, Jeri Allen; and

WHEREAS, Norma Green is survived by her daughter, Patty A. (Randy) Williams; her son, Larry L. Green; her grandchildren, Mitchell (Katelyn) and Melissa S. Williams; her brother, Paul Edwards Jr.; her sister, Cellie M. Howard; her brother-in-law, Bill Allen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Norma G. Green, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Norma Green as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
