| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lawrence Gohmann, who passed away on June | 4 | | 8, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann was born in Chicago on September | 6 | | 6, 1949 and resided there until he moved to the northwest | 7 | | suburbs of Chicago to raise his family; he served with the | 8 | | United States Army, 23rd Infantry Division during the Vietnam | 9 | | War from 1968 to 1969 and was awarded the Army Commendation | 10 | | Medal; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann retired from the United States | 12 | | Post Office as postmaster of Crystal Lake in 1993 after 25 | 13 | | years of service; he founded a mailing supply business, for | 14 | | which he served as president; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann moved to Sarasota, Florida in | 16 | | 2000; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gohmann was the loving father of Jennifer | 18 | | (James) Roberts and Michael (Jessica) Hawryluk; the loving | 19 | | grandfather of Josephine, Samantha, Jacob, Lucy, Jillian, and | 20 | | Alexa; the beloved brother of Stephen (Phyllis) Gohmann, James | 21 | | (Susie) Gohmann, Marena Gohmann, Elaine Specha, and the late |
