| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ervin G. Boeldt of Union, who passed away | 4 | | on July 3, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt was born in Oak Park to Carl and | 6 | | Martha (Goethel) Boeldt on February 9, 1940; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt was a grain farmer and raised beef | 8 | | cows on his family farm in Union; he joined Carpenters Union | 9 | | Local 187 in January of 1965 and retired from Local 2087 in | 10 | | January of 2006; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt joined the Union Fire department in | 12 | | 1973 and retired in 2010; he was fire chief for 24 years; he | 13 | | also was a member of the water fight team and traveled many | 14 | | weekends every summer to surrounding counties for competition; | 15 | | with him at the nozzle they were usually unbeatable; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt was an avid hunter and fisherman, | 17 | | never getting the 30 point buck he wanted, but close to getting | 18 | | several big ones; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Ervin Boeldt is survived by his children, Ken | 2 | | (Nancy), Brenda (Mike), and Mark (Millie); his granddaughters, | 3 | | Jessica (Kyle), Jennifer, and Samantha (Dan); his | 4 | | great-grandchildren, Jace, Mia, and Lilly; his brother, Elmer | 5 | | (Jane); his sister, Arlette (Mickey); and many loved and | 6 | | cherished friends; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Ervin G. Boeldt, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Ervin Boeldt as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy.
