SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Barbara J. Preble of Joliet, who passed
4away on January 1, 2017 at the age of 94; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Barbara Preble was born in Morris to Clyde and
6Mabel (Brayton) Kilmer; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Barbara Preble was a registered nurse at Silver
8Cross Hospital with 60 years of service, 30 of those years as a
9volunteer; she enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking, and reading;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Barbara Preble was preceded in death by her
12parents; her husband, William; and her daughter, Jean Preble;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Barbara Preble is survived by her five children,
15Gail Bjekich, Chris (Pam) Preble, Ann (Dwight) Wernecke, Sue
16Whyte, and Lynn (Dan) Pavnica; her 12 grandchildren, Mandy
17(Eric) Robertson, Melissa (Kevin) Jacobs, Tracy (Andrew)
18Nesland, Erin Whyte, Justin Whyte, Kelly (Preston) Pierce, Dana
19Wernecke, Erik Wernecke, Brian Wernecke, Kevin (Brookley)
20Pavnica, Jozef Pavnica, and Kristyn Pavnica; and her eight
21great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara J. Preble, and
4extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all
5who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Barbara Preble as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
