SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge of Harvard, who
4passed away on July 8, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was born in Elmhurst to Louis and
6Ida (Edecker) Nerge on June 15, 1930; he joined the United
7States Army in 1954 and married Dorothy Hachmeister in Addison
8on June 15, 1958; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was a member of St. Paul Lutheran
10Church in Harvard, the McHenry County Farm Bureau, and the
11Woodstock V.F.W.; he was also involved in the Harvard Milk
12Day's festivities and was a volunteer firefighter for the Rural
13Harvard Fire Department; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge enjoyed dancing, old time music, and
15reading his farm magazines; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge was preceded in death by his
17parents; his brother, Stuart Nerge; and his sisters, Floretta
18Clausing and Ramona Gieseke; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Leonard Nerge is survived by his wife, Dorothy;
20his children, Duane Nerge and Cindy (Carl) Gnewuch; and his

1grandchildren, Stephanie, Mark, and Kyle Gnewuch; therefore,
2be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Leonard L. "Bud" Nerge, and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Leonard Nerge as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
