SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Phillip Anthony Harrell Sr. who passed away on January 12, 2017 at the age of 44; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. was born to Jerry and Francine Harrell on December 2, 1972; he graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School; he earned his GED after attending John Marshall Metropolitan High School and married Latasha Turner in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. worked for a while with his father at the Department of Employment Security; he was later employed by ILLING Company, Inc. in Sikeston, Missouri as a forklift driver; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. enjoyed playing tennis and basketball; and he loved to eat; and

WHEREAS, Phillip Harrell Sr. is survived by his wife, Latasha; his sons, Phillip A. Harrell Jr. and Zaylen; his parents, Jerry S. and Francine E. Harrell; his sister, Marshon D. (Chuck) Washington; his brothers, Jerry S. Harrell Jr. (Connie) and Rev. John F. Harrell (Rahshedah); his eight nieces, seven nephews, and a host of cousins, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Phillip Anthony Harrell Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Phillip Harrell Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
