SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Justin Robert "JJ" Brim Jr., who passed away on June 23, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Justin Brim was born on April 30, 2014 to Justin Sr. and Patrice Brim; and

WHEREAS, Justin Brim was a very intelligent child and had an amazing propensity to learn; even before he could walk, he could recognize letters and numbers; he loved going through his flash cards and eventually knew every animal, color, and animal sound associated with each card; and

WHEREAS, Justin Brim was loving, kind, and patient; he was never any trouble to anyone; and

WHEREAS, Justin Brim was especially loved by his grandparents, Frank Brim, a 29-year veteran of the Chicago Fire Department and the founder and CEO of the Garfield Park Baseball Club, and Tracey Brim, pastor of Work of His Hands Ministries; and

WHEREAS, Justin Brim is survived by his parents; his grandparents; his brother, Jaxson; and many other loving family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Justin Robert "JJ" Brim Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Justin Brim as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
