SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Francis G. Bloomer of Silvis, who passed
4away on August 14, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer was born in Hampton to Edwin and
6Selma Hoffstetter Bloomer; he married Helen Bailey in Palmyra,
7Missouri on January 13, 1948; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer served in the United States Army
9during World War II; after 40 years as a tool grinder, he
10retired from Case IH, International Harvester and Farmall
11Merchandise; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer enjoyed woodworking, flowers, and
13gardening; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer was preceded in death by his
15parents; his seven brothers; his two sisters; and his sons,
16Michael and Richard Bloomer; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Francis Bloomer is survived by his wife; his
18children, Patricia Bloomer, Diana (Bryan) Stone, Donna (Dan)
19Glynn, and Christopher Bloomer; his seven grandchildren; and
20his 17 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Francis G. Bloomer, and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Francis Bloomer as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
