SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Delores Ross of Virden, who passed away on September 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Delores Ross was born August 26, 1932; she graduated from Virden High School in 1951 and married Theodore C. "Bud" Ross in Virden on November 8, 1952; and

WHEREAS, Delores Ross worked for the State of Illinois and at the Macoupin County Courthouse; she owned and operated the Virden Coin Wash; and

WHEREAS, Delores Ross was an avid fan of the Virden Bulldogs; and

WHEREAS, Delores Ross was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore, and her sister, Linda Guthrie; and

WHEREAS, Delores Ross is survived by her daughter, Carroll L. (Jeff) Millburg; her son, Ray J. (Stacy) Ross; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sisters, Arlene Love-Ballinger and Lola Lemarr; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Delores Ross, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Delores Ross as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
