SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eugene Von Kaenel of Elgin, who passed away on August 31, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Von Kaenel was born in Oak Park to Henry and Marie Von Kaenel on October 24, 1930; he served in the United States Army during the Korean War and married Lenore on November 12, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Von Kaenel was co-owner of the LeeMar Printing Company in Crystal Lake for many years; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Von Kaenel was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Plato; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Von Kaenel was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hank Von Kaenel; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Von Kaenel is survived by his wife, Lenore; his children, Gayle (Carey) Schuett, Tracy (Scott Klopp) Von Kaenel, and Andrew (Shannon) Von Kaenel; and his grandchildren, Cody, Halle, Lucas, and Dalton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eugene Von Kaenel, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eugene Von Kaenel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
