SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald A. Knodel of Kenosha, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 18, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Knodel was born in Waukegan to Arthur and Harriet Knodel on January 28, 1940; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Knodel was an avid cribbage player and was known to roll a few dice; he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors with his family; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Knodel was preceded in death by his parents; and his former wife, Toni Knodel; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Knodel is survived by his sons, Rich, Gene (Valerie), Pat (Jonell), Mike (Jeanne), Randy (Patty), Kevin (Sarah), and Jeff; his grandchildren, Shannon (Brad Stone), Kaitlyn, Kylie, Heather, Hydee, Wesley, Megan, Layla, and Hayden; a great-grandson, Declan; his brother, Don; his sister, Linda; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald A. Knodel, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Knodel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
