SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dennis L. Rosenthal Sr. of Rock Island, who passed away on January 21, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Rosenthal Sr. was born in Rock Island on December 15, 1946; he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Rosenthal Sr. was a mechanic at several area businesses, including Sears; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Rosenthal Sr. was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Rosenthal; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Rosenthal Sr. is survived by his children, Lisa (Scott) Cook, Jack Rosenthal, and Dennis Rosenthal Jr.; his stepchildren, Scott Hawkins, Steve (Chrissy) Hawkins, and Mary Ann Raychel; six grandchildren; and his siblings, Jack Rosenthal, Mike Kaesbauer, and Patty Marberry; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dennis L. Rosenthal Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dennis Rosenthal Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
