SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stan Budzinski of Peoria, who passed away
4on October 7, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski was born in Peoria to Leonard and
6Bernice (Bill) Budzinski on July 25, 1953; he graduated from
7the Spalding Institute in 1971 and Western Illinois University
8in 1974; he married Karen Levine on July 10, 1976; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski worked at Caterpillar for 35 years
10in human resources, retiring in 2009; he served the Peoria Park
11District as a trustee from 1995 to 2007; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski was a member of Cursillo #91 and
13the Secular Franciscans; he was a Eucharistic Minister for both
14OSF Saint Francis and UnityPoint Health-Methodist; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals
16fan and proud to be named after "Stan the Man" Musial; he
17enjoyed playing golf, laughing with family and friends, and
18going to the ocean for vacation; he was a member of Saint
19Philomena Catholic Church in Peoria; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski was preceded in death by his

1parents; his niece, Tricia Budzinski; his father-in-law, Earl
2Levine; and his beloved dog, Maggie; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Stan Budzinski is survived by his wife, Karen; his
4son, Paul (Carrie) Budzinski; his daughter, Colleen (Michael
5Quartuch) Budzinski; his grandsons, Zachary, Owen, Ryan, and
6Ryker; his brother, Ron (Cheryl) Budzinski; his mother-in-law,
7Ann (Watson) Levine; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews,
8cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Stan Budzinski, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Stan Budzinski as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
