HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Abdel Raoul for his outstanding accomplishments as a young golfer and student; and

WHEREAS, Abdel Raoul has earned academic and athletic scholarships to attend Prairie View A&M University in Texas, where he will compete as a NCAA Division I golfer while studying to become a mechanical engineer; and

WHEREAS, As a student at Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago, Abdel Raoul's skills on the golf course led him to become a 2018 Illinois High School Association state finalist; and

WHEREAS, Abdel Raoul's achievements include his title as a three-time Boys Junior Golf Champion at the Chicago Park District's Jackson Park Golf Course and his selection as the First Tee of Greater Chicago's representative to compete in a 2017 national tournament in Pebble Beach, California; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Abdel Raoul for his outstanding achievements and wish him well as he continues to pursue his passion for golf, his college degree, and all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Abdel Raoul and his family as an expression of our esteem and respect.
