SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Bienvenido A. "Ben" Arboleda Jr. of Rock
4Island, who passed away on May 28, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was born in Bauang, La Union,
6Philippines to Bienvenido and Placida "Ada" (Andrada) Arboleda
7Sr. on October 28, 1952; he served in the U.S. Navy for 20
8years and was a Vietnam veteran; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. worked as a U.S. Postal Service
10worker until his retirement; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was a member of the Veterans of
12Foreign Wars of the United States, Masonic Lodge Eureka #69,
13Shriners International, High Twelve International, and the
14Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry; he enjoyed
15singing, eating, working on cars, and meeting new people; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. will be remembered for being a
17hardworking, positive-minded, friendly, passionate, and loving
18man; a man of true character, he was known for his ability to
19light up the room with his big smile; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. was preceded in death by his

1parents; his brother, Jess Arboleda; and his nephew, Kenzley
2Arboleda; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Ben Arboleda Jr. is survived by his wife, Remy
4Arboleda; his children, Jason Arboleda, Maggie (Jeff) Perine,
5Ana Rica (Craig) Hartman, Kristiana "Kat" Arboleda, and Joshua
6Arboleda; his stepdaughter, Nicole Noble; his grandchildren,
7Rheagan Arboleda, Jaxon Arboleda, Lincoln Arboleda, Van
8Savage, Talia Perine, Milla Perine, Matthew Hartman, Corbin
9Hartman, Josie Hartman, Judah Ray Bird, and Avery Levi Kauer;
10his brothers, Dante (Marivic) Arboleda, Romeo (Mel) Arboleda,
11and Cesar Arboleda; his nephews, Jan Paul, Warren, Eric,
12Froilan, and Jerome Arboleda; and his sister-in-law, Yolly
13Arboleda; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Bienvenido A. "Ben" Arboleda Jr. and extend our sincere
17condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
18him; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Ben Arboleda Jr. as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
