SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fredrick L. Mammen of Springfield, who passed away on July 30, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Fredrick Mammen was born in Ogle County to Lukie and Verdena (Terivili) Mammen on May 16, 1933; he married Rita A. Rodems on May 4, 1972; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Fredrick Mammen worked as an engineer at AT&T, formerly known as Illinois Bell, until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Fredrick Mammen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Elmer; and

WHEREAS, Fredrick Mammen is survived by his wife; his daughter, Kathy; his sons, Steve and Alan; his stepson, Pete; and his several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Fredrick L. Mammen and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fredrick Mammen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
