SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frederick "Fred" L. Wade of Bloomington, who passed away on August 14, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Fred Wade was born to Emmet and Florence Panneitz Wade in Bloomington on September 3, 1934; he married Constance "Connie" J. Brucker in Metropolis on November 27, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Fred Wade worked as a Bloomington firefighter for 31 years until his retirement in 1991; he was also employed by State Farm Insurance as a printing press operator for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Fred Wade was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington, where he was the president of the 50+ senior club for many years and was involved with the church's Boy Scout Troop 38; he was also a member of the Bloomington/Normal Retired Firefighters; and

WHEREAS, Fred Wade was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Steven Wade; his sisters, Connie Jean Scheller and Donna Wade; and his brother, Ron Wade; and

WHEREAS, Fred Wade is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Connie; his children, Terri Sue (Charles) Daugherty, Randall Wade, and Rebecca Wade; his daughter-in-law, Nancy Wade; his grandchildren, Bradley (Kathy) Wade, Megan Wade, Kyle Daugherty, Jared Daugherty, Jacob Rush, and Henry Rush; his great-grandchildren, Emma Wade and Austin Wade; and his sister, Shirley Brucker; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frederick "Fred" L. Wade and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Wade as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
