SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ann Boylan of Bloomington, who passed
4away on September 10, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ann Boylan was born to Matthew and Annie Baird
6Reid in Lochgelly, West Virginia on June 24, 1932; she married
7George Boylan in Detroit on May 10, 1954, and he preceded her
8in death on August 5, 2017; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ann Boylan worked with her husband running their
10businesses, Boylan's Ice Cream and Candy Manufacturing; she
11later served as the vice president of Boylan Beverage; she then
12worked as a deputy coroner for the McLean County Coroner's
13office; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ann Boylan was a voracious reader and loved to
15play scrabble and aggravation; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ann Boylan was preceded in death by her parents;
17her husband; her son, George J. Boylan; her daughter, Joann M.
18Nord; and her grandson, Nicholas Boylan; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ann Boylan is survived by her four sons, John
20(Teri) Boylan, Michael (Carla) Boylan, David Boylan, and

1Matthew Boylan; her five daughters, Mary (Kent) Reisdorph,
2Kelley (Ed) Ensminger, Maggie (Brian) Farrell, Shirley Boylan,
3and Kim Boylan; her 29 grandchildren; her 14
4great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, David Nord; and her
5sisters, Beth Bynum and Jeanie (Bill) Whiting; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Ann Boylan and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
9friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Ann Boylan as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
