SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Timothy (Tim) Alan Clevenger of Silvis,
4who passed away on September 3, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tim Clevenger was born to Ronald and Marjorie
6(DeMeyer) Clevenger in Moline on June 15, 1967; he graduated
7from United Township High School and then served in the Marine
8Corps for four years; he re-enlisted after the start of the
9Gulf War and spent six months in Saudi Arabia; when he was
10discharged, he returned home and started classes at Western
11Illinois University; he married Teresa Garrett in 1993, and
12they later divorced; he graduated from Western Illinois
13University and Black Hawk College; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tim Clevenger taught at Brown Mackie College; he
15later worked in the computer field at NCR Corp in Georgia,
16Exectec Associates in North Carolina, JDIS in Moline, and Derby
17Tech in East Moline; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Tim Clevenger enjoyed music and taught himself how
19to play the guitar and sing; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Tim Clevenger was preceded in death by his
21daughter, Abbi Clevenger LaFrance, and his nephew, Chris

2    WHEREAS, Tim Clevenger is survived by his parents, Ron and
3Marg Clevenger; his siblings, Carrie (Eric) Pena, Debra
4Barrett, Donald Clevenger, Jane Clevenger, and Melisa
5Clevenger (Terry Plumb); his 15 nieces and nephews; and his 16
6great-nieces and great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Timothy (Tim) Alan Clevenger and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Tim Clevenger as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
