SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Scott M. Bundy of Bloomington, who passed
4away on August 28, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy was born in Bloomington to Michael and
6Ruby Bryant Bundy on September 9, 1977; he served in the U.S.
7Army National Guard and married Shana K. Bushert in Jamaica on
8November 3, 2011; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy worked for the McLean County Highway
10Department as a sign foreman; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy was generous with his time and
12talents; he co-hosted an annual golf outing for 14 years, which
13provided thousands of dollars for local charities such as The
14Baby Fold, Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, the Boys
15and Girls Club, and Easter Seals; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy's greatest joys in life were his
17friends and family; he had a big heart and was always available
18to help a friend; one of his greatest talents was his ability
19to bring people together; he was the quintessential family man
20and immersed himself in every aspect of his children's lives
21and couldn't help but pass along his love for Star Wars and

1Marvel Comics; from being a high school football star to a
2marathon-running adult, he was a gifted athlete and delighted
3in challenging himself; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy was preceded in death by his parents;
5his sisters, Amy McCubbins, Michelle Lee, and Melissa Sue
6Bundy; his paternal grandparents, George and Marjorie (Scott)
7Bundy; and his maternal grandparents, Norvel and Loretta
8Bryant; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Scott Bundy is survived by his wife, Shana; his
10children, Blake, Kaylee, and Peyton; his nephews, Brady and
11Presley McCubbins; his nieces, Meranda and Mackenzie
12McCubbins; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Scott M. Bundy and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Scott Bundy as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
