 1        AN ACT concerning state historic sites.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5. The Illinois Historic Preservation Agency Act
 5    is amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:

 6        (20 ILCS 3405/10.5 new)
 7        Sec. 10.5.  State historic sites  required  to  be  open.
 8    The  Illinois  Historic  Preservation  Agency  must  keep the
 9    following State historic sites open to the public 7 days  per
10    week:
11        (1)  Black Hawk State Historic Site;
12        (2)  Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site;
13        (3)  Fort Kaskaskia State Historic Site;
14        (4)  U.S. Grant Home State Historic Site;
15        (5)  Lincoln-Herndon Law Office State Historic Site;
16        (6)  Lincoln Log Cabin State Historic Site;
17        (7)  Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site;
18        (8)  Lincoln's Tomb State Historic Site;
19        (9)  Pierre Menard Home State Historic Site; and
20        (10)  Old State Capitol State Historic Site.

21        Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
22    1, 2003.
