 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2765

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2765  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.  The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
 5    changing Section 1-5 as follows:

 6        (30 ILCS 500/1-5)
 7        Sec. 1-5.  Public policy.  It is the purpose of this Code
 8    and is declared to be the policy of this the State  that  the
 9    principles  of competitive bidding and economical procurement
10    practices shall be applicable to all purchases and  contracts
11    by or for any State agency.
